Description: New innovative music academy. The Wichita Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra is hiring a second strings teacher for year three of our program. The academy is a collaboration including the Wichita Falls Independent and Midwestern State University. Students may range from K-12.

Duties: Full-Time, 5 days instruction per week. Private and group Suzuki lessons. Secondary private lessons at Midwestern State University. Attendance at recitals/rehearsals and participation in special events. School year: September-May.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education or Violin Performance and certificate in Suzuki training. Graduate hours may qualify student to teach as an adjunct professor at Midwestern State University. Applicant should expect to demonstrate violin performance.

Salary: Base salary $35,000 (based on nine-month commitment). Additional income opportunities may include up to $1800 coaching with the Wichita Falls Youth Symphony, summer camp faculty, adjunct faculty position at Midwestern State University, and playing position upon successful audition with the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra.

Start Date: 9/1/18
Position will close by April 15.
